The reason why I wrote to U.S. President G.W.Bush
Here is my new website:

Vienna, April 2003
Dear all,
I guess, some of you might have thought why I have written these letters to Pres. Bush.
Very simple: Lately, and before the war started I have noticed too many negative reports in the print media and on international TV stations labeled against America, and specially my German government handling the Iraq crisis.
It would have been much easier to go out on the street and demonstrate against the war and America.
But I did otherwise, my purpose I wrote to US President Bush and the American people was to show support and solidarity at this critical time.
I felt it was my duty to do so, because the freedom we German people enjoy today is, because of the many sacrifices which were made by the American and the allied forces in ending WW II.
I'm against the war in Iraq as many of you are, too. But now the war is fought we should support America and the coalition forces in Iraq.
I pray for reconciliation in the Middle East, the Islamic and the Christian world.
I pray to our heavenly Father that he is guiding Pres. Bush and the American people.
God and Christ are loving America, therefore, I love America too.
Warm wishes,
Wolfgang Schawaller
